High-tech software veteran, growth leader and serial entrepreneur, Trevor Matz guides BriefCam into new markets and its delivery of next generation video content analytics solutions for businesses and consumers worldwide. Under Matz’s leadership since July 2017, the company has experienced rapid growth in terms of revenue, customer acquisition, employee expansion and product development as well as a successful acquisition by Canon Inc., a world leader in digital imaging solutions.
Before joining BriefCam, Matz was President and CEO of Aternity, Inc., a leading provider of End User Experience (EUE) and application performance monitoring solutions. Under Matz’s leadership, Aternity was repeatedly recognized by industry influencers and analysts as delivering best-in-class EUE solutions. With Matz at the helm, Aternity was embraced by household brands throughout every industry, leading to the company’s 2016 acquisition by Riverbed Technology. Prior to Aternity, Matz served as worldwide managing director of Application Integration for InterSystems Corporation where he took Ensemble from launch through recognition as the #1 Integration Platform in HealthCare. Before his global responsibilities for InterSystems integration initiative, Matz served as managing director for the Eastern Mediterranean, Middle East, India, and Africa.
Professor Shmuel Peleg holds more than 20 US patents which have formed the basis for the establishment of numerous, successful high-tech companies. He was twice awarded the Hebrew University Kaye Innovation Award for his work. Professor Peleg has been a faculty member at the Hebrew University since 1980, serving as the chairman of the School of Computer Science from 1989 to 1991, and has held visiting positions at the University of Maryland, New York University, and the Sarnoff Corporation. He has published over 150 technical papers in computer vision, has served as chairman of multiple prestigious computer vision conferences, and co-founded the Computer Vision Foundation. Prof. Peleg received his BSc degree in mathematics from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and his MSc and PhD degrees in computer science from the University of Maryland, College Park.
Michal joined BriefCam in 2011 after serving as Vice President of Finance at ImageID and, following its acquisition by Zetes industries, as Vice President of Finance of the Zetes ImageID Innovation Center. Previously, she held a management position at Rozenblum-Holtzman accounting practice. Ms. Hillel holds a BA in Economics and Accounting and an MA in Law from Bar Ilan University, and is a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants in Israel.
Itai brings over 20 years of experience and a diverse background of building products, managing engineering team, and leading companies. Itai was most recently CEO of Ericsson Media solutions Israel, where he transitioned from being VP Products to the CEO role, after Fabrix was acquired by Ericsson in 2014. Prior to his leadership at Fabrix, Itai served as head of products and Business Development at Cellebrite.
Itai holds an MBA in Business Administration from Thames Valley University, an MA in Public Administration, and a BA in Computer Science and Economics from Tel Aviv University.
Tom joined BriefCam in 2011 to lead the company’s Software Engineering Group. Prior to BriefCam, he was at MindArk, where he led the development of Entropia Universe, a 3D platform for online entertainment, communication and e-commerce. Edlund graduated from Chalmers University of Technology, Gothenburg, Sweden with a M.Sc. in Physics, Mathematics and Computer Science.
Stephanie Weagle joins BriefCam to lead the company’s global marketing initiatives and accelerate market adoption of its industry-leading video analytics solutions. Before joining BriefCam, Stephanie was Vice President of Marketing for Corero Network Security, where she led global marketing for the company’s cyber-threat mitigation product portfolio. Previously, Stephanie held senior marketing roles at Lionbridge Technologies and Novell, Inc.
Tomer joined BriefCam in 2017 with a wealth of experience as an entrepreneur and product management executive. As the Director of Product – Mobile at LivePerson, Saar lead the team that developed the first Enterprise App-Messaging product for customer service and then launched it with T-Mobile. Prior to LivePerson, he was the CEO and Co-founder of Appdator, where he used his management and product development expertise to successfully lead the company through product development, funding, deployment and strategic partnerships. Tomer has also worked for Raphael Advanced Defense Systems and Essence Security where he helped define and develop digital video security solutions. He holds an MBA from Tel Aviv University and a B.Sc in Electrical and Software Engineering from Technion-Machon Technologi Le’Israel.
Hagy brings more than 24 years of experience in software development and a proven track record of engineering leadership, delivering enterprise-grade platforms and solutions. Hagy provides both technical and management expertise in Cloud/SaaS, imaging, billing and customer care products. Previously the CTO for BackPack.io and Tradesmarter Holdings, he led worldwide development teams from successful product design through deployment. Prior to that, Hagy served as Head of Software Applications and Development for Zetes, ImageID Innovation Center, where he had full responsibility for designing, developing and testing its entire line of software solutions. Hagy holds a degree in ADP and Computer Engineering from Tel-Aviv University.
Israel brings over 30 years’ experience in both pre-sale and post-sales support, having achieved repeatable success in building and managing high performing customer success organizations. Israel was most recently VP of Pre and Post Sales at PeerApp, a company that provides solutions for local delivery of streaming video and other OTT content. Prior to PeerApp, Israel served as VP of project management at Alvarion, and as director of customer service at Harmonic (Scopus).
Israel holds a BA in Business Administration from Ruppin Academic Center and a secondary degree in Electronics and Computer Engineering from Amal Educational Network.
Warren Stein joined BriefCam in 2010 and has driven BriefCam’s widespread adoption in the EMEA and Asia Pacific regions. Previously, Warren served as VP Global Sales at RDT JETRO, where he was responsible for setting up worldwide channels and shaping strategy in new international markets. Prior to that, he has held positions as General Manager APAC of Aladdin Knowledge Systems. Stein holds an Executive MBA from Rutgers Business School and a BA in Economics and Business Management from the University of South Africa.
Brian Baker joins BriefCam to lead the company’s aggressive sales growth initiatives in the Americas. Previously, Brian served as VP & GM for the Americas for VCA Technology, Inc., a global provider of IP video, video analytics and cloud-based business intelligence technologies. Prior to his work at VCA, he was a Vice President in the North American Retail division of Wincor Nixdorf Inc., where he was responsible for the software & solutions sales strategy, business expansion, professional services and the IoT product team. Brian also led global sales & professional services at ObjectVideo, the early pioneer of commercial video analytics technologies where he drove sales in the end-user, channel and OEM business segments. Baker holds an MBA with an emphasis in Finance from Southern Methodist University and a BA in Marketing and Business Management from Carthage College.
Michal Ramot joins BriefCam with 20 years of Human Resource management experience, leading HR organizations globally, defining and implementing strategic organization processes, overseeing change management, and partnering in integration processes following M&A activities. Michal holds a BA in Social Work from Tel Aviv University, an HR Management diploma from the Technion, and has completed a post-graduate Tel Aviv University program for group guidance. Michal also holds a mediator diploma from the Gume institute.
