BriefCam® VS Forensics now with multi-language support

BriefCam for rapid video review responds to global market demand

Other new features: multiple/unified clip selection, virtual machine support.

Neve Ilan, Israel, May 11, 2011 In time for IFSEC 2011, BriefCam (briefcamtest.wpengine.com), the developer and provider of the VIDEO SYNOPSIS® technology for rapid reviewing, analyzing and indexing of video camera content, has launched VS Forensics V 1.4 with multi-language support, including Simplified Chinese, traditional Chinese, Japanese and Korean.

Multi-language support was developed specifically to meet growing demand from the Asia-Pacific market, where BriefCam is being used successfully by law enforcement agencies.

BriefCam VS Forensics is an easy-to-use offline application that enables users to review footage, create, view and export synopsis for post-event investigative purposes. VS Forensics is a stand-alone product that does not require integration with a DVR/NVR, and can summarize multiple video files simultaneously.

Other new features for BriefCam VS Forensics V 1.4: support for Windows 7, multiple and unified clip selection, expanded CODEC support and virtual machine support.

Many of these same features are also incorporated into BriefCam’s VS Online for real-time rapid video review, including virtual machine support. This enables enterprise users to run VS Online on high-end, high channel count systems in a cost-effective and scalable way.

BriefCam’s VIDEO SYNOPSIS is an award-winning technology that summarizes hours of events into a brief that takes just minutes to watch, whether real-time feed online or archival footage offline. BriefCam products import and process video from the systems commonly used by law enforcement, government agencies, educational facilities, municipalities and loss prevention organizations.

BriefCam’s technology partners include: Axis Communication, Genetec, Magal-Senstar, Milestone Systems, NICE Systems, On-Net Surveillance Systems (OnSSI), Panasonic, Pelco, Sony, Verint and Vicon.

In 2010, BriefCam was awarded the Wall Street Journal Technology Innovation Award for Physical Security, the IFSEC Security Industry Award for Best CCTV System, and named to Red Herring’s Top 100 Europe and CNBC Europe’s 25 Most Creative Companies lists.

BriefCam is a finalist in the IFSEC 2011 Future of Security Competition. Final judging will be held in the SELECT Lounge, Hall 3A, Tuesday May 17, 2011, 14:00-16:30.

At IFSEC 2011, BriefCam will be presenting at Milestone Systems’ booth, Hall 44/F90.
